Exchange isn't a monopoly?
It depends on how you define the market. Microsoft tried to define the operating system market as including all operating systems including for servers, mainframes, embedded devices etc. The court determined the applicable market was limited to only operating systems running on PC's. (Thus the Mac OS was deemed not a competitor and excluded)

One could probably define the market for exchange in a such a way that some people would also consider it a monopoly. As a previous poster mentioned however, despite this articles claims there is not likely an anti-trust issue here.
