- UK gets 24MB down /1MB up ADSL
- In September of this year, the UK has approved a new ADSL standard (which they are calling ADSL2) I have ordered this service (as it is now available from many ISPs) and get 24MB download and 1MB upload speeds. It's DSL so this is only theoretical speeds, but I get 11-15MB downloads at a regular basis. Plus they are still sorting out some technical issues so I have a feeling the speeds should increase to the full amount with time. Yes the US is far far behind (the price is the same for this service as for the older regular ADSL)
