And that puts us how far behind the rest of the world?
Anyone care to answer that.

When it comes to the rest of the world in the broadband race, they are in the pipe, 5 by 5. As far as US companies are concerned. "WE ARE LEAVING!"

Dear ZDnet, please don't bother letting me know anything about the DSL companies in the US, until they get their crap together. This publicity/free advertisement applauding them for their crappy service is sickening. I would rather know that Antartica is getting DSL over finding out that in some highly urban area is finally getting 6 MB, when several other US vendors have already done it. Why don't we just credit Intel with the first 64 bit x86 processor while we are at it.

This story is not only pointless, but revolting. Why boost the amount of articles on how the US is lagging so far behind in the Broadband Race that Third World countries are starting to surpass us.

6MB, whoopty freaking doo. I can send a Gigs of data accross the states with the postal service. Probably cheaper too, and insured.
