Skype still has much work to do
i've been using skype as my ONLY home phone for several months now, and while very good, and very cheap, it still has drawbacks, and not insignificant ones.

Drawback one is no, or virtually no, support. the best support i've had so far is from volunteers on the forums. after being purchased for the astronomical price of 2.6 BILLION, it's high time skype hires a few dedicated support personell.

CALLER ID problems are drawback two. whenever a skype user calls anyone, the caller id on the callee's phone displayes 01234567 or something very similar to that. people tend to just not answer the phone in many cases, assuming that the call is coming from a telemarketer. some phone systems reject calls that dont have a valid caller ID all together, while some route you to a voice message system if you have something like that coming through on your caller ID.
