Hate to admit it

"People today don't go to college to earn a degree for a 60,000 dollar a year job. They go to college to earn a degree in an area that may earn them 500,000 dollars a year or more selling houses or trading stocks"

As an Engineering type, I hate to admit that but there is some truth to it. The sales guys are the ones who make the money. Kids in school need to keep in mind that most sales and real estate people don't make good money. It's the usual 90/10 rule. 90% of the people make 10% of the money in sales, 10% of the people make 90% of the money. Kids also need to realize that having a tech degree gives them the ability to get ahead in non-tech careers if they balance tech with other things. There are many BA graduates that don't get far.
