- If you were awake in class ...
- ... please explain how tax cuts in and of themselves create inflation. Inflation is caused by an overheated economy. Economic stimulus like tax breaks can contribute to the economy becoming more heated but other factors have to exist. By the way, you should of also stayed awake in government class. It is Congress and not the president who has control of the purse strings and Clinton benefited from a Republican congress. Furthermore, he was advantaged by the dot com influence that was fueled by Reaganomics.
