Medical records are digitized, as per HIPPA
If the records happened to be on one network and multiple hospitals are accessing them (protected via TLS as per HIPPA requirements) and they happen to be on the 2 networks at issue, your life could be at risk (if you have an emergency). What would happen if you have some allergy that causes some major convultions or something, the hospital that you are at can not get the records of this and you are in the emergency room and incapacitated? You see the potential problem, especially with digital records (as per HIPPA requirements) related to the routing/connection issue?
