- Good thing!
- Lawsuits prevent city from doing something STUPID! WiFi is a loser technology for wide-area application. The WHOLE REASON WiMAX was developed was because the range of WiFi is just too miniscule. Spend 2-3 years creating up to 1000 overlapping "hotspots" in the city (that need to be interconnected via landline since WiFi is NOT a meshing technology), and I will come along and put a few WiMAX transcievers (on top of the fire nozzle monument hill), and I will soak up ALL of your business! Stop thinking in the past! WiFi was good for its time, but its dated and an evolutionary dead-end.
