Cingular taps Real for mobile video

Just dumped Cingular...

When my rep told me of this news, I dumped Cingular immediately. I called them up and told them what to go do with themselves. The customer service person told me I owed $600 to cancel out of my contract but I told her money was no object. I was a high powered CIO and was not about to use Real technologies for anything. I told her that my shop only uses Microsoft and we expect our carriers to do the same. My rep cheered me on and told me to expense the $600 internally. He also took me to breakfast. We were then going to look at T-Mobile phones. As my rep say:"Their signal strength you may hate, but they use Windows Media so they are great".
