- Can't think of any. Can think of many possible benefits of competition. SBC does not care to furnish real service to their captive market but might do better if they had to compete. Many parts of Dallas Texas can not even get DSL because the phone lines are old and SBC has no interest in fixing the problem. COME ON VERISON
