You made an arguement that all communications would be IP based, but broadband is below where TCP/IP is in the network stack (based upon OSI model). IP only deals with addressing and routing, TCP/UDP ports tell what protocol something is going on (based upon the IP address data and the port number). An IP address maps to a MAC address (layer 2) and Broadband deals with layer 1 and layer 2 (Physical and Data Link).
Either way, it is you who misimplied it (or don't understand data/converged networking). You said:

Congress here is a clue for you. In ten years all communication will be IP based. Quit mucking about and plan on the real future.

Again: braodband is below this because TCP/IP resides over a physical transport (WiMAX uses MAC addresses, as does cable, DSL, T-x, E-x, OC-x) so congress is correct in where they are focusing and you got it wrong! - Posted by: B.O.F.H.
