Not entirely true
There rural and there urban rural. I think you are talking about the urban rural. That's those areas of natural beuaty that people chose to pay more to live in. Usually it comprises of sub divided land with in driving distance of a fair sized city that is set up as a small community of acreages. While classified as rural I consider them small villages where rich people live. Since they are rich phone companies then charge them more.

Now the farmers who grow the food you eat, they usually live in the boonies. I don't think it's too much to ask that you help them out. After you get thier food for next to nothing. How would you like to pay $8 for a loaf of bread, $15 for a pound of hamburger. Costs keep piling up on farmers these days but the cost the food you city slickers need does keep pace. Keep adding to farmers costs and pretty soon you will have nothing but corporate farms and they you will see that $8 loaf of bread.
