As per many ISP agreements, you can do anything with the line as long as it is not abusive or against the law. Since VIOP is not abusive, providers blocking services should be fleeced.

They are only blocking the service because it competes with their service and most likely costs significantly less. Why should i pay an extra 40 a month to a provider for voip services when i can pay 16? I pay less in taxes and less in services. Duh.
