the coming of high speed to power lines and competition
I read in todays State Paper (columbia,sc) that Duke power is testing high speed through the power lines. It is supposed to be faster than Dsl and cable.I think this is advantageous to the consumer because more options should create lower prices and better services so this Dsl ruling is not bad.I myself have wildblue high speed satellite internet which I just started this Monday and I love it as I could not get high speed before and someone on these boards told me about it last summer I thank them very much as it works great about as fast as my dsl at the office for 49.95 a month and 299 for the equipment so it is cheaper than direcpc and faster because it uses the ka rather than the ku band.See what a little competition does now direcpc has lowered their prices as did starband another satellite provider because of this wildblue service.
