DSL works fine for me. The 3 mb service I have isn't as fast as the
service Comcast offers in my area, but then I haven't had an outage
since I signed up 18 months ago. My neighbors on cable have had
quite a bit of downtime (DNS outages, etc.) and their download
speed has dropped as low as 256K on several occasions.

Guess it's like everything. The technology is only as good as the
provider wants to make it.
