- I *CAN* believe it!

These are telco guys, trying to understand Internet.
Remember Sprint's famous logo: the dancing pin? It stood for crystal-clear clarity and solid connection of service.
Well I don't know if you've checked cellphones lately, but I get about as good a connection with tin-cans and waxed string. AND, if someone's driving through, roaming, they'll just CUT OFF my call, so they can make more money.
Why do Americans put up with it?
We've not worked hard enough to shout for these changes from the rooftops. Changes like these are major for people trying to stay afloat, much less amortize the last go-round of infrastructure upgrades.
What they need to do is look at Japan. See what operationally works best of the newest technologies, and not tell anyone about the service until they've had time to re-build the parts. Then, they're the early-adopter, skipping several levels of technology and outpacing the competition.
Once the competition runs out of waxed string, the fun begins. - Posted by: Brian@... Posted on: 08/01/05 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
