I can believe it...
A lot of these DSL companies aren't investing in the newer standards or technologies. I haven't seen or heard of any US based ISP offering adsl2/2+ or even SHDSL. These can get up to 1-2Mbps upload and with adsl2+ up to 25-26Mbps. I really can't see why the ISPs are not upgrading their equipment. A lot of settings on the equipment can allow for shifting of the bin loading such that you shift some downstream bandwidth to be used for uploads.
