- it's simple.
- I had 1 choice when I purchased my house 3 years ago, the local cable provider who doesn't have to share his connections with other providers, and they chose to give me a 1meg connection for 45$ a month, but when a year later the local phone company ran DSL, my cable company jumped me up to 2 meg for 45$, so when dsl started selling 3 megs my cable jumped to 3 megs for 45$, that's comepetition, ... so it's a wonder I had DSL ran to my new neighborhood considering the local phone provider up untill a year ago had to provide/sell any other company/competitor space on their fiber at a set low rate, making return on investment calculations impossible, so I'm glad the courts made the FCC stop forcing the phone company to sublet its new fibers to competitors,,,, makes good sense... bury your own fibers... if you are a provider then be a provider and plant some fiber in my neighborhood... otherwise shut up,,, meanwhile take the gloves off the phone company so they can do battle with the cable company..... forget the political talk...I think the actions I've seen in my neighborhood speak much louder than the garbage that spews from the moron clatter I read in here..
