Finally the FCC acts
Being in the communications industry, a LEC service manager and E 911 administrator, I have been extremely concerned about this issue when a customer switches to Vonage or some other company.

Seems the average person is just trying to contain their phone service costs, and have no clue about the lack of 911 benefits. My kudos to the FCC for taking action, now if they will monitor the progress very closely and not waiver with an additional extension of the time frame.

How many people have to die to get this handled just as the conventional telcos have had to many years? Why are the VOIP companies able to side step 911 call location?
