such valid responsible requirements will unfortuantely keep VoIP prices

high. i cannot afford any long distance plan in addition to the near $100 that i pay for a landline+DSL. maybe if it was only an additional $5. but as long as the government forces 3rd party providers to pay the telco a portion to reimburse them for business lost, i don't expect it to happen any time soon.
