Normally, I agree with you, but I can see MS really making some inroads here.

The capability to view and possible edit Office documents would be a feature that many would love to market and spin much PR about. I don't consider it a feature many would need or use (might as well get a full blown mini-laptop), but it will become that "cool" thing that everyone wants. Ofcourse they will get the DRM and WMP in there too. Along with notepad, wordpad, and some useless directory called microsoft frontpage.

If the formats were open and the others were able to deal with them, MS probably would have a much harder time.

I hope MS never becomes anything near an influencial player in this market. I personally like Sony Ericsson over Nokia, but I would rather have Nokia at the helm than MS.
