All part of the master plan
As my OWN predictions come true - one by one, there are STILL some doubting Thomases out there. Here (for the hundreth time) is what I said about the steamroller:
1. The telcos will RUSH to offer WiMAX, as it represents a savings for them. Sprint can out-do Comcast for internet access with WiMAX, and Comcast knows it!
2. As the prices come down, and adoption rates go up, soon there will be enough "critical mass" for WiMAX to be "re-engineered". In other words, you have the equipment, you have the network, you just need to take over the "control" of the WiMAX - this is done by re-programming the WiMAX routers to work with "common" OSS. Go ahead and tell me that hackers won't try to do this! As soon as an open source software comes out that allows for "free" meshing - tell me people won't flock to it! THIS IS THE STEAMROLLER! SOMEONE has to open Pandora's box - and I see its going to be Sprint!
