- WiMax promises to be disruptive

Intel has done a marvelous job of developing and promoting what will a hugely disruptive technology with WiMax.
Now, they have aligned with a large carrier that has the available spectrum in the licensed 2.5Ghz range to make it happen (Sprint is one of 3 carriers with a nationwide footprint of the 2.5G band).
What makes WiMax extra cool is it is a fully IP based network, unlike 3G which is a voice centric technology (citcuit switched).
