Local officials sound off on municipal wireless

If the city pays comercial providers to install the network, why not???: So the city should not be allowed to put in public streets either. No sir, only comercial streets with tolls. Really, if the city can put in a system that results in substantial savings for the citizens, they almost have an obligation to do so. This is also a matter of economic development to help businesses. Many businesses will not be able to compete without broadband.
