Maybe barcode foreheads instead?
Forget ID cards, they can be stolen, just barcode the kids foreheads and treat them like inventory... Works for criminals too - hmmm, your wanted in Alabama, sure glad we checked the barcode instead of the phony drivers license you gave me...(State Trooper) HAHAHA!
