easy scripting?
So somehow a textfile will magically find and execute off of /bin/sh, /bin/csh, /usr/bin/perl, /usr/bin/expect or some other script interpreter? Most scripts on unix are text files that start with a shell interpreter command (eg: /usr/bin/perl -W) or maybe you are hoping for something in an HTML based format, say something in JavaScript/ECMA-262, which may or may not have execution and system rights due to how the suer accounts are set up. Would you care to elaborate on this, as the execution environmnet is somewhat different from Windows and Outlook (which autoexecutes VBScript in the mail agent (MUA)?

Perhaps you think that a Unix based MUA can set execute bits (chmod au+x /var/mail/osreinstall/????; execute what file????). Perhaps you are hoping for some sort ofa shell interpreter in an MUA (and why would anyone want such a thing)?

The problem that Windows has withthe execution of scripts is that it comes for a single user (safe) environment and was not designed with the Internet in mind. Further, it is designed for the lowest common denominator user, one that will blindly click on things or open unknown files or... It still has all this legacy code from the days of unattached machines and controlled LAN environements which is what is cathing the system with allthe executable crap. Further, you have a registery that ties a file type (*.vbs for example) to some interpreter but does nothing to limit the execution bits (the ACL isn't designed for that).

I could go on but I am hoping that you are picking up the clues by now.
