Actually Capitolists spew that garbage
In a capitolist society the laws of supply and demand play out. If there are many workers as there are today after a dot com bust and they are all asking for high wages then they are working against supply and demand. As well with many Indian workers competing here willing to work for less you lose out.

Large supply of workers = lower pay while small. supply of workers = higher pay. Basic supply and demand.

With all the out of work tech workers combined with the supply of tech workers in other countries looking for work the supply of workers is high there for wages will drop as you are over paid.

The thing that realy makes me wonder is how they can say that there is a tech worker shortage? It simply isn't true. Maybe what they mean is there is a shortage of tech workers willing to work for lower pay in the US.
