just so that you know a "regular account" is
a member of administrators. for the average
user. unless you define a special account with
limited use.

Wrong. The "default" account is a member of
administrators but in 30 seconds you can take
yourself out of the Administrators group and put
yourself into the Users group. Bam, you no
longer have the power of an administrator,
exactly like Linux.

Odly enough the email comment has happend
before to me on my windows machine. but will not
ever happen on my linux box PERIOD. It just
can't happen I have made sure of this. and this
comment wasn't made about my email I don't
believe at this time Real Networks has an email
system or is even considering it. This is about
the exploit. The exploit is hardly a threat to
linux.

If you can delete your email, then any
code taking advantage of that exploit can delete
your email. If you can delete your
documents, the malicious code can delete your
documents. Now, if you have taken steps so you
can't delete your email or your documents, or
you back up your stuff very regularly then
congratulations, being hit will not result in
any loss of your personal data. However, since I
regularly back up all my personal data on my XP
box, I can say exactly the same thing:
but will not ever happen on my XP box
PERIOD
. I'm not trying to say XP is better
than
Linux, only that you are 100% wrong when you say
that Linux is 100% safe and Windows is 100%
dangerous.
