It's Time We Held Software Sellers Accountable For Security Flaws
Automakers are held accountable for flaws to their cars that cause injury or may hinder operation of the vehicle.

Drug companies are held accountable for medicines that harm or kill people.

Consumer goods manufacturers are held accountable for injury or death of their products.

Sofwtare sellers are the only ones that aren't held responsible for releasing shoddy products that have security holes in them that end up costing them millions of dollars in lost revenue and damages. It's time the state and federal government enacted laws that dictate the before a software product is released on the market, it is THOROUGHLY tested, THOROUGHLY analyzed, and if there is ANY doubt to the security risks of using the software a warning label or some other notification is put on the package or PC it comes on.

This is ridiculous....just because no one is hurt or killed by a piece of software they aren't held accountable for their own pathetic coding mistakes.
