Sometimes it's not the computer owners fault.
?My father-in-law found an old Compaq and monitor in a neighbor's trash?

Sounds like my father, he could find all kinds of things flea markets and the like.
Anyway sometimes it?s not always that persons fault. I have a working, un-wiped, laptop floating around with all my info somewhere. I sent it to Dell to fix the hinges and they shipped it back, but AirBorne Express/DHL mixed up the shipping codes and shipped it to a computer repair shop in Alabama. They tried to get it back but couldn?t and gave me a new laptop. All my info was backed up and a quick change of accounts at the bank protected me from fraud. I would have sued them for shipping my personal info to somebody else but I?m not into frivolous lawsuits. They replaced the lost merchandise; that?s not all I lost but I can fix the rest myself.
