My father-in-law found an old Compaq and monitor in a neighbor's trash a few blocks from his house. He asked me if I could get it working. I plugged it in and it booted right up to Win95. No data had been deleted at all!! I was able to figure out who the owner was, log in to his AOL account and there was even banking and tax info along with all the software to access it. Personal photos, browser cache ... it's like he just stoped using it one day and put it at the curb.

How have these people survived hundreds of thousands of years of evolution?
