Why write a virus if it won't run?
>And, I kow Mac users are proud of their computers, but you have to wonder about a system that no one likes enough to write a virus for?

Why write a virus for a machine if it won't run on it. This is almost like the old C-64 computer. To my knowledge, there was only one virus ever written for it. And it was a novelty.

On today's UNIX type systems, which includes the Mac OS-X, viruses have little that they can do to the system. Users access the Internet as a "User". Users do not have system control. No program run as a user can affect the system. Only the "Root" administrator can affect the system files, along with the programs run as the Root administrator. Everyone has been warned about accessing the Internet as the Root account holder. If everyone follows basic system security, virus writters are wasting their time in UNIX type systems.

That's why there isn't a lot of bugs for the Mac, or any other UNIX type system.

As I said above, it's almost like writing a virus for the old Commodore 64, which was the most popular single computer ever built.
