Time for businesses to ban IM?
While IM's okay for personal use, if you're willing to accept the risk/responsibility, I've always been dubious about using it for business purposes, as it's not at all private and requires a large amount of trust in Someone Else's servers. If IM-like functionality is to be used for business, it's probably better to set up a private IRC channel.
