it means they would never be able to install programs that try to overwrite root files. They wouldn't be able to install "services" unlike on a Windows system. They could install and run any program they want as long as it is in their home directory. So, the virus would only work when that user is logged in, unlike these Windows viruses that work whenever the computer is on.

And yes, I agree with you that most of these new problems have nothing to do with flaws in Windows, except that Microsoft has made it so easy that average users do not bother to actually learn what they are doing.
