It is only lock-in if you feel locked-in
If the tools were available for linux and only ran on linux isn't that also lock-in? "Oh, but I can go from Redhat to SUSE". You are still running on linux. I do not feel lock-in using Windows. I chose to use Windows over linux. That is called choice and exercise of free will. Another wore out arguement.
