What IS the real issue?
So I guess that the best way to avoid a virus is to choose an obscure OS that no one would take the time to write a virus for because it would impact few systems......
That thought process only works for a while and there will be a point where critical mass may encourage someone to write viruses for these supposedly secure OS's and THEN we will find out that they are as flawed as Microsoft in their approach to security.
Linux was supposedly virus-proof, the BREW technology in cell phones was supposedly virus-proof...... given time and enough desire virtually anything can be breached. Better to find out now what those vulnerabilites are and to fix them before someone actually uses Mac servers to host a credit card company or the Social Security Administration.
