I was going to get a Blockbuster account a long time ago. They asked for my SSN on the application, and I refused. They said I couldn't join unless I gave them my SSN. I can underdstand giving your SSN out for credit application, or to the IRS, but I don't want a bunch of mimimum wage slaves at Blockbuster handling my SSN.
