Laptop theft puts data of 98,000 at risk

Because there are no laws....: that MAKE them secure anything. If I am not mistaken, only under the banking laws require strict oversight... however, even those have loopholes (remember, they sell and share our data all the time).

This has been going on... it is only recent that it is hitting the national news. There isn't going to be a quick fix either.
