there is never a need to be infected
well.. as i stated in the subject, there is NEVER a need to be infected, even if you use microsoft stuff.. how do we keep virus free?

1. don't open any attachments

you don't normally invite strangers to your house, do you? in the same way, don't open just anything without checking to see if its safe. my advise to anyone is usually "delete first, ask questions later".



2. don't click "yes" to every offer you get on the internet, unless you are sure that the offer can be trusted.

.. its amazing what you can fool people into doing nowadays. we don't need a better OS. we need better users. if people would stop clicking on every *darned* thing on the net, they would probably be less infected. - it would probably stop them from getting blind too, since it seems like lots of these things come from porn sites..



3. stop installing things from dubious sources.

to put it simply, if you can't trust it, don't install it.


notice that the issue in all three points above has to do with "trust". the saying that "there's a sucker born every minute" becomes so true on the internet. "there is at least one idiot asking to be infected every second".
