Reeeallly naive and dumb people

Why is this a "major problem", it's not any more of a problem than someone tricking anyone out of money in any situation. Who is going to stop these people from contributing to false charities, from giving money to fake bums on the street etc. The problem here is a lack of common sense by the user. Who in their right mind clicks on a link in an IM and enters their financial info? These are the same people getting ripped off in every other facet of their lives. The problem is that we are trying to legislate common sense these days. "If they are too dumb to know better...lets write a law that will protect them." It's a real problem. If your not educated on something your using, then you DESERVE to pay the price......get educated!

Look at this statement :
"Left ungoverned, instant-messaging applications are an easy vehicle for accidental or malicious disclosure of sensitive corporate data, including company financials, personnel records and customer data,"

So what is next? Should we monitor all IM communications....what is his definition of unmonitored? The real problem in america these days is that EVERYTHING IS MONITORED! IM's or telephones or MOUTH's can be used to give out this data also.....should we sew the mouth's shut?
Hey wait it could be an IM about terrorism!...I would laugh, but I'm already too busy crying.

This country is no longer funtioning as intended...we are moving toward a police state and dumb people and hysteria and only helping make it worse.
