I can best explain it like this:
Suppose you connect to my company's site. You alter it so that you do not see the logos on my partners' page.

By you doing that you are costing me business. Because I "might" be generating revenue from that click through.

I am not talking about banner adds, or pop ups, but simply CONTENT in a web page. Most companies have links to their partners' site on them. If you can strip those out, you are costing my partners money.

Take it a step further. Suppose you use a script "by accident" that changes the hyperlink to a profane web site when a partners' link is clicked.

Who is liable?

There are too many issues at hand here to go into much detail.

As I said in my original reply, I have mixed feelings about this.
