My Kids Get It, You Need to Try Harder
If your kid thinks the Internet is a way to meet people, you need to make sure they understand that it is a way for creeps and scumbags to meet kids, and that they should not trust anyone they don't personally meet and know.

Test your kid. Try to chat them up with an IM account they don't know. See if you can get their age and address. This is good training for later when they start going to bars...
