Slow down there Peter Eater
"Now we find out it is just as hole-ridden as Windows.."

What?! Just as hole-ridden? Bwahahahaha!! I needed that..

"To spread viruses effectively, you need an OS that has critical mass, something Mac can only dream about."

Pleeeeez. Apple could slash their prices manana and they'd jump in market share exponentially. They don't want to be the laughingstock McDonalds of the computing world. They want to target real users, and not Windows luzers.

"*IF* it ever gets close to 10% market share again, know that it's big, bad world out there with lots of evil monsters trying to bash down your doors."

Yeah, I know Bub. I spend my days saving Windows toy boxes from themselves.

"Then you will no longer be in the walled garden that Steve Jobs built for you."

No, I will be in the walled garden that I built for myself. I don't need ol Stevie boy to help me admin my Mac wonder box.

"The Mac has never had anything CLOSE to the onslaught Windows experiences every day..

And to normal, sensible people, that should say a LOT..no?

"But that's ok, keep feeling "secure", one of these days you will find out the hard way that your kandy-kolored OS is not so wonderful after all."

I've already experienced the hour of my greatest contempt. I got sick of my mediocre "kandy-kolored" OS, so I dumped XP and went Mac! wink

"On that day, we will welcome you to the real world..."

Oh, so when my box gets hosed is when I'll join the real world? That would seem to me when I lose touch with the world, no? What is so real about losing productivity? To me it would seem that doing real things on my computer (like maybe work, for instance) I'd be closer to the real world over spending so much time just getting my machine functional again.
But once again I've made the mistake of assuming you guys possess common sense..;-)
