I disagree
Windows 2000 and XP are just NT 5.0 and NT 5.5. Windows NT simply is not designed to be secure. Also who'd want it secure, it'd be hard to use and difficult to set up. People don't want that and Microsoft gives people what they want not what they need.

Now you can secure Windows, it's time consuming and hard to do but it can be done. I can secure a Unix box in about 1/10th the time.

Now what this show is that Microsoft Windows OSes are just a tool and they do a good job for sharing information and easy networking. When it comes to security it's like using 5 LB sledge hammer when a 10 LB sledge hammer would be better tool to use to get the job done. While Microsoft can do it there are better products that do the job better and easier.
