Congratulations, guys; you really beat the tar out of that ol' strawman.

Back here in the Real World (tm), meanwhile, we all know that nobody has ever said that OS X was "impervious" or that "only Windows has flaws". It's all a matter of degree.

All OSs have flaws and areas of vulnerability. The problem has always been that Windows is based on an inherently less secure model while *NIX systems are based on an inherently more secure model. Windows evolved in an environment in which the model was a single, non-networked "personal" computer with a single user who would have complete control over the box. *NIX evolved in an environment in which the model was a multi-user, networked system over which the default user had very limited control.

This is one reason why it has always been easier to hack Windows systems.

Going forward, I suspect the underlying OS is going to matter less and less. Phishing and pharming rely largely on social engineering. User ignorance remains the weak link in any security chain, and this is where criminal hackers will attack.
