It makes for fun convresation, but
the security enhancements in SELinux do not affect accessibility to the machine. They are primarily extensions to good system setup, preventing someone from using a buffer overflow in your web server to run (or replace) programs in your /bin, /sbin, /usr/bin, etc. directories. Plus, it is based on a policy that the system owner/administrator defines. The firewall will still keep the bad guys (NSA, CIA, FBI, et. al.) out.

I envision a number of administrators setting SELinux to non-enforcing mode or disabling it, anyway. It is the easy way to make the system work.

By the way, Microsoft is coming out with a hardened version of Windows, too. It will combine the best things of Windows NT, CE, and Me. It will be called Windows CEMeNT. Hard as a rock, dumb as a brick! happy
