Put the right people in charge
I was listening to the senators on TV asking
the VP of one of the hacked data bases if the
administrators of that company were "aware" of
the security issues involved. STOP RIGHT THERE!
First of all the SENATOR thinks the important
people to inform are the SUITS in the front
office who do not have a clue regards computer
operations. Reminds me of the Newspaper cartoon
"The King Of Id". The SENATOR doesn't have a
clue either. He should have had his kids sitting
there beside him, so he could ask them what to
say. And then saying it to the VP of that company
is nothing but the blind leading the blind.
I guarantee you that the techs at Boston College
have been raising cain for years about funding
security on campus, and it has fallen on "deaf,
dumb, and highly uninformed" ears. Feds need to
talk to us. And then they need to listen.
