Well we know you can't be serious about that because we know that very sort of thing has gotten MS into trouble in the past. Again, if a customer CHOOSES to go that route, that's their business and I won't stand in their way, as long as no one stands in my way of running non-pirated, yet non-"trustworthy" software.

But seriously, given all the old applications and home-crafted software around, I'm sure provision will be made for running insecure software on a computer. You'll probably be able to get even another operating system started after only a few popups forcing you to take full responsibility by clicking on the "Okay" button.

I'm sure you're making it seem like more of a pain than it will be, but minor nuisances like that I can deal with. And I'm sure, since the folks at both Intel and AMD have stretched over backwards to help out the open source community to get their hardware to work with their software, that they are no more interested in locking out legitimate OSes than I am.
