Outlaw the use of Social Security numbers.
Rep. Joe Barton said he plans to "outlaw the use of Social Security numbers for any purposes other than government purposes." In addition, we need legislation on how and whom credit card companies report to.

There should be law that every credit card company should have a web page dedicated to opt out of transferring the account holder?s information in addition to the mailers they send out.

Also, may I add since any companies who want to access a individuals credit profile lacking any type of application (such as an inquiry) from an applicants credit profile, that individual of the credit profile be paid $20.00 per inquiry. Stiff penalties will occur if the companies do not comply.

Did we not learn from ChoicePoint's Derek Smith?s data warehouse that compiles electronic dossiers on Americans who sells them to insurance companies, other businesses and police agencies?

The American public is weak from these types of intrusions and this will cut down on the spam a company adds to ones credit profile (inquiries) on individuals who are denied credit.
