Lots of lawmakers have been dieing
to pen new legislation regulating the Internet and its practices. This is just another burr in their saddle.

I still feel like holding companies financially liable for their negligence would stop 90% of the issues clogging the news. From the writers of OS's to the apps that run on them to the service(or lack there of) providers getting rich, make them cough up the dough for the dangers caused by the trashy goods and services they sell. It works in every other industry. IT would be no different.

Money is what these companies are about and that is all they understand. Speak their language and then we can get on with moving forward. This company should cough up a few hundred thou to each person whose indentity was comprimised.

MAKE the IT industry accountable for themselves. NOTHING else will ever work!
